Oil spill Cancellation Policy

There has been much speculation and concern about the impact of the Gulf oil spill on the diving and snorkeling environment in the Florida Keys. No one knows when it will end or where the spill will go. Although there has currently been no impact on the Keys, Looe Key Reef Resort and Dive Center realizes that many of our clients and guests remain concerned about future developments and may be hesitant to make reservations. However, as the summer months are one of our busy seasons, failing to make reservations could mean that we’ll be fully booked and you will miss out an our outstanding dive and snorkel experience if you wait too long.

To ease your concerns, Looe Key Reef Resort and Dive Center wishes to clarify its hotel and trip cancellation policy with respect to the Gulf oil spill. If, at any time between making your reservations and the time of your trip or hotel stay, the oil spill negatively impacts our diving and snorkeling conditions outside of their normal range, we will allow you to cancel any unused portion of your reservation with no cancellation penalty. This cancellation guarantee covers only oil spill related impacts and not normal variations in conditions caused by weather, tides, seaweed, or other natural events.

It’s simple. If you’re not happy, we’re not happy.

To follow the latest projections and impacts, call us or check our Facebook page. Don’t miss out on a great Florida Keys vacation for diving, snorkeling, and sightseeing because of something that may not even happen.
